In a recent news, the
Philippines got the top list of most names collected for NASA’s future Mars
mission. A lot of Filipinos are willing to leave the Earth and explore in Mars.
Most of them are fed up with the different issues here in the Philippines that’s
why they wanted to find a new place to stay in and for some the Earth isn’t the
home they used to know. Why? and who’s to blame?
According to Steven
Benner, a Biochemist of the Westheimer Institute for Science and Technology in
Florida said. “If our hypothetical Martian ancestors had remained on Mars,
there might not have been a story to tell. It’s lucky that we ended up here,
nevertheless, as certainly Earth has been the better of the two planets for
sustaining life.”
Earth is the only
planet in the universe known to possess life. The planet boasts several million
species of life, living in habitats ranging from the bottoms of the deepest
ocean to a few miles into the atmosphere. And scientists think for more species
remain to be discovered.

What is the earth made
of?
The outermost layer of
the Earth is known as the crust, and this layer is responsible for the majority
of life on Earth. The Earth’s crust has four main components and these are
minerals, rocks, soil and water.
Earth is the only planet in our solar system
that has a large amount of liquid water. Because of its water, Earth is home to
millions of species of plants and animals.
Rocks and minerals are
all around us! They help us to develop new technologies and are used in our
everyday lives. Our use of rocks and minerals includes as building materials,
cosmetics, cars, rocks and appliances. In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle
and strengthen the body, humans need to consume minerals daily. Rocks and
minerals are important for learning about earth materials, structure and
systems. Learning about rocks and minerals gives students a deeper appreciation
of the story behind the scenery in our national parks.
